This workshop is for persons interested in the topic, including clergy, psychotherapists, and lay caregivers. It will include small groups, chants, bodywork, lectures, and stories.
Leaders
Dr. Margaret Kornfeld is author of Cultivating Wholeness: Guide to Care and Counseling in Faith Communities, which is used as a textbook by seminaries across the U.S. She is past president of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, a Diplomate and supervisor in that organization, AAMFT Clinical Member, and American Baptist minister. Formerly in private practice in New York City, Dr. Kornfeld is now retired in the San Francisco Bay area. In this workshop she will use her experience in the NYC Post 9/11 Care for the Caregivers Project.
Jesse Palidofsky is a hospice chaplain from Washington D.C. who creatively uses music in his healing ministry. In addition to being a professional chaplain, Jesse is equally a musician, a composer, and a performer. He is the leader of the Jesse Palidofsky Group and has performed at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage and at the Smithsonian’s National Folk Life Festival. Jesse is a graduate of the Earlham School of Religion, the Shalem Institute’s Spiritual Guidance Program, a certified chaplain with the Board of Professional Chaplains, a Quaker, and a leader of workshops and retreats.

Registrations are transferable but not refundable. Financial assistance is available for students. Auburn Seminary is offering CEUs. Please wear comfortable clothing. The workshop will be held at Noroton Presbyterian Church, 2011 Post Road, Darien, Connecticut.
